After resigning from his position as Apple CEO just over two months ago due to complications as a consequence of his pancreatic cancer, it has regrettably come to our attention that Steve jobs has passed away at the age of 56. Responsible for co-founding Apple and bringing it to it’s current status as one of the most successful technology companies in the world, Jobs was a visionary who will be greatly missed.

Dissecting a platter based Hard drive

Have you ever wondered how the hard drive in your computer works? To my surprise, almost all the tech savvy individuals I spoke to today could not provide a satisfactory answer to this question despite being able to identify almost all the internal components that make up a platter based hard disk. Luckily for us, Bill Hammack from the Department of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering at the University of Illinois tackles this topic in his latest video.
